Low Head Wind Farm

Meteorological Mast Commissioned
As part of our feasibility studies, a 90m meteorological mast has been installed to record the site-specific wind characteristics at Low Head. Instrumentation is placed at 10m, 30m, 50m, 70m and 90m along the mast, and data will be used to model the wind resource across the site. Additional data will be sourced from the Bureau of Meteorology's 10m mast at Low Head Point to increase accuracy and provide long-term correlation.
The mast is expected to remain active until all wind turbines are commissioned, and their anticipated electricity output is confirmed.
